The 278th Map of the Week is from the second Jörðgarð (TM) Trails adventure on the Fallen Empire Trail, "Draug Hunters." The map shows the isle of the Æsir warror Skíði and his wife, the ranger Reyndí, in the Misty Spring lake area. Misty Spring is a large lake that is fed by a spring. The lake is the source of the Fogwater River. Unknown to most, there are several populated islands upon the lake. It is a hidden area, constantly covered by a magical fog.
The island itself has few special features. Swampy shallows surround the island on all sides but the east. Most of the time, parts of the swamp are under a shallow cover of water, but large areas of it also are above the water's surface at almost all times. The size of the flooded areas and those that are above the water vary considerably, based upon the amount of recent rainfall and the water level of the Fogwater or Meadowwater, as the Æsir called it. The swampy areas are dangerous because of quicksand and the poisonous water snakes that live in it. The other feature is the Tower Islet, a tiny isle at the northwestern tip of the main island. Upon the Tower Islet one finds the ruin of an old tower.
