Joerdhgardh Maps 513a and 513b bring the PCs in the forthcoming Trailsend adventure to the end of their journey through rebel-held human territory in the undead-ruled Dreadlands. Since leaving Draugsend (the previous maps), they have been straddling the south bank of the Riddle River which is the boundary between the human Dreadlands and the Riddle Forest controlled by Karelenland, which is ruled by the Triple Crown – two elven princes and a dwarven prince. Karelenland has a mixed and integrated population of light elves, half elves and humans. Humans on the Dreadlands side of the river consider the Riddle Forest to be a strange, forbidding and mysterious wood that few non-Kareli will enter. The only crossing is the isolated Riddle Bridge, a strange structure where the human rebels sometimes can meet the Kareli above the river without either entering the other's land.
