Congratulations to NBOS for the release of 64-Bit Fractal Mapper 9, an excellent piece of software if I've ever seen one! To accompany it, the Vintyri Project has updated all its free Fractal Mapper 8 enhancements for the new and graphically superior Version 9. Please note that these releases are not just conversions of the Fractal Mapper 8 products. New material has been added and some objects have been improved to take advantage of FM9's additional quality. Please note that the FM9 versions cannot be opened in FM8.
Specifically, there are new FM9 versions of:
- Bogie's Mapping Objects
- CSUAC/Dundjinni Archives
- Vintyri Cartographic Collection
Also: Our collection of downloadable Joerdhgardh maps, 498 of them to date, has moved into the FM9 era too. We've gone back to the beginning of the maps for Trailsend, our current adventure project, and now offer them for free download in three versions:
- As usual, for FM8, an editable .fmp-version
- New, for FM9, an editable .fmp-version in higher quality than possible with FM8
- A .jpg-version 3000 pixels wide in full FM9 quality.
On the way but not yet available is a new FM9 tutorial for raster mapping. We hope to have it available by the end of August.
